The Resting Nexus halts blood loss for a fixed period of 14 days, making it useful for stretches when you are away from Second Life.

Aging
If you choose to age while resting, one night passes for every two real days. The rate is deliberately slow to stop players from farming age on alternate accounts left in a Nexus.
Limitations
The Resting Nexus protects your blood, not your body. You can still be attacked while resting.
