New players can use this guide to find the community, choose a species, complete induction, and obtain a working HUD.

Joining the Game

Descendants of Darkness is an invite-based roleplay system. Existing players, the system land, support boards, and the official Discord can help prospective players begin. See Joining the Game.

Choosing Your Species

Choose between Vampire, Lycan, Witch, and Hunter before induction. Your sire must match the species you intend to join. See Choosing Your Species.

Induction Ceremony

Induction registers the new player, connects them to their sire's lineage, delivers the Game HUD, and provides the in-world group invitation. See Induction Ceremony.

HUD Help and Redelivery

The Game HUD is required for core interactions. See HUD Help and Redelivery for redelivery and support options, and the Main HUD guide for controls.

Common Questions and Troubleshooting

How do I join if I don't know anyone?	Visit the system land, use the Assistance Obelisk or Support Boards, or ask in the official Discord. See Joining the Game.
