Getting Started

Welcome to The Realm of Darkness! This page will guide you through the process of joining the game, choosing your species, and completing your initial tasks with the help of a mentor.

Joining the game

To join The Realm of Darkness, follow these steps:

1. Obtain an invitation to the game from an existing player or request one from the game administrators. Additionally, you can click on the support boards at the Realm of Darkness land to leave a message for the creators.

2. Once you receive the invitation, accept it to join the game group.

3. Upon accepting the invitation, you will receive the game HUD (Heads-Up Display) which will be your main interface for interacting with the game world.

Choosing your species

In The Realm of Darkness, you can choose to play as one of three species: Vampires, Lycans, or Witches. Each species has its own unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.

Vampires

Vampires are undead creatures who possess supernatural strength, speed, and agility. They have the ability to manipulate the minds of mortals and can regenerate from wounds quickly. However, they are vulnerable to sunlight and must feed on blood to sustain their powers.

Lycans

Lycans, also known as werewolves, are shapeshifters who can transform into powerful wolf-like creatures. They have enhanced senses, increased strength, and the ability to heal rapidly. Lycans are often seen as fierce warriors and are known for their loyalty to their pack.

Witches

Witches are humans who possess the ability to manipulate supernatural forces through the use of spells and rituals. They can cast a wide variety of spells, from healing and protection to offensive magic. Witches are often sought after for their knowledge and wisdom.

Once you have chosen your species, the game HUD will be customized to reflect your choice, and you will be granted access to species-specific abilities and powers.

Initial tasks and mentoring

As a new player, you will be assigned a mentor who will guide you through your initial tasks and help you learn the basics of the game. Some of the initial tasks may include:

• Learning how to navigate the game world and interact with other players.
• Discovering how to use your species-specific abilities and powers.
• Completing quests or challenges to earn experience points and level up your character.
• Joining or forming a house, pack, or coven to align yourself with other players and gain access to additional resources and benefits.

Your mentor will be available to answer any questions you may have and provide guidance as you progress through the early stages of the game. Don't hesitate to reach out to your mentor or other experienced players for help and advice.
