Clans unite one or more Dynasties beneath a recognised banner. Within the Realm's hierarchy, Clans stand between Dynasties and Bloodlines and may include Houses, Packs, Covens, Orders, or any combination of those Dynasty types.

A single Dynasty may found a Clan if it meets the full follower requirement. A Dynasty that does not have enough qualifying followers may invite one or more allied Dynasties to join its petition, allowing their qualifying followers to count toward the required total.

Leadership and membership

The recognised leader of a Clan is its Sovereign. The Sovereign must be the leader of at least one eligible House, Pack, Coven, or Order included in the Clan petition.

A Sovereign may not found or lead a second Clan.

Clan membership is formed through its associated Dynasties rather than through players joining the Clan individually. A Clan may therefore consist of:

  • A single qualifying Dynasty with enough followers to meet the requirement.
  • Multiple allied Dynasties whose combined followers meet the requirement.
  • Any recognised combination of Houses, Packs, Covens, and Orders.

Terms of recognition

A Clan petition must meet the following requirements:

Requirement Details
Lead an eligible Dynasty The applicant must be the recognised leader of at least one House, Pack, Coven, or Order.
Represent 25 qualifying followers The applicant's Dynasty may meet this requirement alone, or allied Dynasties may be invited to the petition so that their qualifying followers count toward the total.
Receive the Architect's approval Staff verify the petition and its roster before it is submitted for the Architect's final decision.
Pay the L$20,000 founding fee No payment is required when the petition is submitted. The fee becomes due only after the petition has been approved to proceed. The Clan is established once payment is confirmed.

Meeting the stated requirements does not guarantee that a petition will be approved. Final recognition remains at the Architect's discretion.

Follower eligibility

The 25-follower requirement is calculated from all Dynasties formally named in the Clan petition.

What counts

A follower counts toward the requirement when they:

  • Are currently sworn to a Dynasty included in the petition.
  • Represent a distinct person.
  • Are recognised by the Realm as active for their species:

Lycan Alive
Witch Alive
Hunter Vigilant

What does not count

The following are excluded from the qualifying total:

  • Alternate accounts belonging to the same person.
  • Followers whose current state no longer qualifies within the Realm.
  • Followers who are not sworn to a Dynasty included in the petition.
  • Followers recruited solely to inflate the roster and reach the required total.

Dynasties must not swear in followers solely to satisfy the 25-follower requirement. A petition found to rely on inflated or misleading membership may be refused, and the Architect may decline future petitions submitted by the same leadership.

Application process

Clan petitions are submitted and managed through the official game website. The system displays the applicant's current eligibility and allows allied Dynasties to be invited when their followers are needed to meet the requirement.

The path to recognition is:

  1. Standing — Meet the leadership and follower requirements.
  2. Petition — Complete and submit the Clan petition through the website.
  3. Review — Staff verify the roster before the Architect makes the final decision.
  4. Founding — Pay the founding fee after approval so the Clan can be established.

Signed-in Dynasty leaders can begin or manage their petition through the Clan Applications page.

Rankings and profiles

Signed-in players can browse Clan Rankings on the official game website.

Clan profiles may display:

  • The Sovereign and available leadership.
  • Associated Dynasties.
  • Member and Dynasty totals.
  • Bloodline relationships.
  • Clan identity and descriptive information.
  • Current activity and ranking information.
